LCHEC hires administration and communications officer

LAMPASAS, TX (March 30, 2015) – The Lampasas County Higher Education Center (LCHEC) is pleased to announce that Karen Inglis will be joining the Higher Education Center on March 30 as the Administration and Communications Officer. Inglis will be responsible for a broad range of duties including student registration, accounts payable and receivable, and public relations and community outreach.

“This year is an important one in the life of the Lampasas County Higher Education Center,” COO Amy McDaniel said. “We are preparing for an accreditation team visit in the fall, and we are poised for growth and expansion. Karen Inglis’s education and experience will be a benefit as LCHEC moves into the next phase of development.”

Inglis earned a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on organizational communications and leadership studies from Texas State University in San Marcos and a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from The University of Texas at Austin. She is also a certified public manager (CPM) and holds certifications in corporate communications and training, professional ethics, advanced mediation and facilitation, and basic mediation.

She lives in Lampasas with her husband, John, and their two children, Jacob (13) and Zachary (11).
