LAMPASAS, Texas (Nov. 18, 2015) – Administrators from the Lampasas County Higher Education Center (LCHEC) announced that Legend Healthcare recruiters will be on campus Friday, Nov. 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to discuss job opportunities at the Marble Falls location. They are currently seeking nurses, nurse aides and clinical medical assistants to join their nursing staff.
The event is open to the public.

“This will be our second time visiting LCHEC and we’re happy to be invited back,” said Michael Molina, regional human resource manager for Legend Healthcare. “We’re looking for skilled professionals who are focused on providing quality, compassionate care, so it makes sense for us to go to a school like LCHEC because we know its students will have the training necessary to succeed at our organization.”

LCHEC offers both a nurse aide program and a clinical medical assistant program at its location in Lampasas. Students in each program receive training in the classroom and in a clinical setting. At the end of the program, students are eligible to take the national certification exam.

“We are always looking for ways to help our students connect with local employers,” said LCHEC COO Amy McDaniel. “It is important to us that our students are able to find employment upon graduation, so we do our best to help facilitate that job search.”

Legend Healthcare offers competitive pay, shift differentials and sign-on bonuses. The Marble Falls location also provides $100 monthly gas cards to all full-time employees who live more than 10 miles from the facility, tuition assistance and referral bonuses.

The next clinical medical assistant class starts Nov. 23 and meets twice a week from 5:15 pm to 9:15 p.m. A new nurse aide class starts Jan. 4, 2016, and meets Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about LCHEC’s allied health programs, visit www.LCHEC.net or call 512-556-8226 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
