LAMPASAS, Texas (June 20, 2016) – Administrators from the Lampasas County Higher Education Center (LCHEC) announced that the Lampasas Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) will be hosting a free job fair Wednesday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the LCHEC campus at 208 E Avenue B in Lampasas. More than 20 area employers will be onsite recruiting for positions of all levels from a variety of industries, including health care, technology, fast food, and higher education.

“We are so happy that we can bring employers and job seekers together,” said Kathi Masonheimer, economic development director for LEDC. “When we thought about hosting a job fair and started thinking about locations, LCHEC was the logical choice since both our organizations are focused on improving job opportunities for the community.”

Participants are encouraged to dress professionally and bring several copies of their resume to hand out to employers. Participating employers include: Central Texas College, Ajinomoto Windsor, McDonald’s, Texas A&M University – Central Texas, BDX, Central Counties Services,  Rollins Brook Community Hospital, Know Control, Lampasas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lampasas Trucking, Williams House, BHI and Central Texas Workforce Centers.

“We are always looking for ways to help our students and the community connect with local employers,” said Amy McDaniel LCHEC grants and projects officer. “We are proud to partner with the Economic Development Corporation to bring this event to Lampasas.”
