Information Technologies Technician
The Information Technologies Technician course is scheduled to begin April 23rd. Classes are held Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays, 5:30pm-9:30pm and every other Saturday 8:30am-3:30pm. Students in the ITT course will learn basic computer hardware setup, basic networking theory and application, LAN switching, fundamentals of networks and network devices, IP addressing and network address translation network systems, computer/network troubleshooting and repair. Students will become proficient in skills required to certify through the following examinations: CompTia A+ 220-901 and 220-902, CompTia Network+ N10-006, CompTia Security+ SYO-401, INCD 1 100-105 (Cisco Certified Entry Level Tech CCENT), and INCD 2 200-105 (Cisco Network Associate CCNA). LCHEC Begins Wreath Fundraiser
The Lampasas County Higher Education Center is ushering in the holiday spirit with its annual Christmas wreath fundraiser. The wreaths are real balsam fir and come in three different styles: Classic, Victorian and Cranberry Splash. Door sprays in matching styles also are available.

Clinical Assistant Program
DetailsThe Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) program trains students in the skills necessary for employment in any modern medical facility. Students will become proficient in a variety of clinical and laboratory procedures and many administrative roles. Students will study medical terminology, phlebotomy, basic EKG, pharmacology, phlebotomy, and medical billing.Students will spend 214 hours in the classroom (117 lecture and 97 lab hours) and 100 hours in clinicals (externship) to obtain proficiency in the skills necessary for performing the duties of a clinical medical assistant. Nurse Aide Course 11/27/2017
This course prepares you for entry-level work in the field of nursing. You will gain the knowledge and skills to safely care for patients in all health care settings. The class provides special focus on safety, the rights of all residents/patients/clients, and the ability to function within a CNA's Scope of Practice. This tri-level course includes: 1) theory, 2) skills lab, and 3) clinical rotation in a Long-term Care Facility. After successful completion, you are eligible to take the State of Texas nurse aide certification exam.
